Navigate to App Options> View > Settings > Platform > Email.

Advantus supports integration with these popular ESPs:
- General SMTP 
- AWS SES 

When configuring email with SMTP

Simple Mail transfer protocol is a set of standards used for sending and receiving emails over the internet.

Step 1:

Select SMTP from the “Select Provider” drop-down.

Step 2:

Provide the following details:

Fields	Description	Type
Select Provider	SMTP: Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is a text-based protocol used for sending and receiving emails over the internet. Most email clients and servers support it.
Email	Enter your (sender’s) email address here.	string
SMTP Username	Enter your SMTP username, i.e. login credential used to authenticate the sender’s identity when sending emails here.	string
SMTP Password	Enter your SMTP password here. Please ensure you enter each character correctly.	string
SMTP Port	Select the correct SMTP Port number.	integer
SMTP Hostname	Enter your SMTP hostname. The address of the server that is responsible for sending your emails to the intended recipient or user.	string

Step 3:

Click on the Save button.

When configuring email with AWS SES

Provide the following details for AWS SES email configuration.

SES Configuration Setup:

Advantus enables you to use your own AWS SES account for sending emails, however, if you haven't set up AWS SES yet, check out AWS official document.

Step 1:

Select AWS SES from the “Select Provider” drop-down.

Step 2:

Provide the following details:

Fields	Description	Type
Select Provider	AWS SES: Enter your (sender’s) email address here that you used to configure AWS SES.
Email	Enter your (sender’s) email address here.	string
Acess Key	Enter your AWS Access key here. We suggest using the Identity and Management (IAM) account instead of the Root account.	string
Acess ID	Enter your Access ID to verify your identity. It is also known as AWS Access Key ID.	string
Select Region	Choose a region/location based on your AWS SES region.

Step 3:

Click on the Save button.
