Create an Application

An Application refers to a container or configuration for sending notifications and managing, storing, and optimising users and messaging data related to notifications.

Applications are abstraction layers for your buisness. Each application has an owner who manages it, users who interact with it, and billing details for its use.

Pre-requisites

To create an application in Advantus, you'll need to follow these prerequisites:

  1. Advantus account: Sign up with Advantus with a user account.
  2. Platform selection: Select a platform you want to target, such as web, iOS, Android, or others.
  3. App name: Choose a name for your app that is relevant to its project or target audience.

How to use an application?

The app is intended to serve a single project, which could involve multiple platforms like a website, iOS and Android mobile apps, and email notifications.

Advantus allows you to organise your configurations by creating multiple apps within an organisation. It streamlines the process of managing your notifications and marketing campaigns, making it effortless and effective.

Additionally, you can customise notifications for various devices, channels, and platforms for each application.

Note: Each application should associated with an organisation. Each application belongs to an organisation ensures structure, security, and efficiency in how they are developed, deployed, and maintained. It also helps manage complexity as teams and applications grow.

How to create an application?

Step 1

Sign-in to Advantus and click on the “Setup Platform” button.

Step 2

To create an application, enter a name associated with your project. Then, either enable the toggle to create a new organisation or choose from the existing organisations in the drop-down list.

Application nameEnter the name of your application. Choose a unique and descriptive title that clearly conveys the app’s purpose and functionality, making it easily identifiable for users.
Create new organisationEnable this option if you wish to create a new organisation. Alternatively, you can add your application to an existing organisation where you have owner/administrative privileges.
Organisation name (new)Enter the name of your new organisation. Choose a unique and descriptive title as this will be used in all communications and representations of your organisation.
Select organisation (existing)This option allows you to create a new application within an existing organisation. This approach helps maintain organisation and simplifies the management of your applications.

Step 3

After entering your application's name and selecting or creating an organisation, click the "Done" button. This will take you to the "Dashboard" window, where you can view an overview of your campaigns for the application.

How to view, edit and delete an application?

Step 4:

After creating an application, it will be displayed in the “All Applications” window, where you can also add more applications as needed. From the “Options” button, you can view, edit, or delete any application.

ActionsLists available actions such as editing, deleting, or viewing details of the application.

View application

As mentioned in step 4, by clicking on the “Options” button, you can view the application.

Edit application

As mentioned in step 4, by clicking on the “Options” button, you can edit the application.

Delete application

As mentioned in step 4, by clicking on the “Options” button, you can delete the application.

Note: Once you delete an application, you won’t be able to recover the data.
