Create an Organisation

An organisation is a centralised structure that allows you to manage multiple users, applications, and resources under one account.

It facilitates collaboration through role-based access, shared resources, and consolidated analytics, making it easier to coordinate notifications, track performance, and manage permissions across multiple projects.

Pre-requisites

To create an organisation in Advantus, you'll need to follow these prerequisites:

  1. Advantus account: Sign up with Advantus with a user account.
  2. Role-Based Permissions: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to create an organisation. In Advantus, only the owner has permission to create an organisation.

How to create an organisation?

To start creating notification or marketing campaigns, the first step is to create an organisation.

With Advantus, you can set up multiple organisations, and within each one, easily create and manage several applications. This simplifies the way you handle your apps and marketing campaigns, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Let’s get started!

Step 1

After completing the onboarding process, you’ll reach the organisation creation window. Here, you’ll need to provide the following details:

FieldDescription
Organisation nameEnter your organisation’s name. This will serve as the central hub for managing applications, communication channels and user access to each application.
Select organisation strengthSelect your organisation’s strength. This option allows you to define the size and capacity of your organisation, which can help tailor resources and support to your needs.
Select languageChoose your preferred language for this organisation. You can change your language preference later in the settings, allowing for flexibility in communication and documentation.

Step 2

Now, create your first application and select a platform to begin with. Choose any platform and click the “Continue” button.

FieldDescription
Application nameEnter the name of your application. Choose a unique and descriptive title that clearly conveys the app’s purpose and functionality, making it easily identifiable for users.
PlatformsChoose the platforms your app will use. Options include email, SMS, push notifications, and WhatsApp. This will determine how you communicate with users.

Step 3 (Optional)

You can invite one or more users with specific roles by clicking “Add” (to invite more users) and “Submit” the details or choose to “Skip” this step and invite users later.

FieldDescription
EmailInvite a user to this organisation by entering a valid email id for the invited user.
Select user roleAssign a role to each user. These roles determine their access permissions to your application created within the organisation. Options include Owner, Admin, Creator, Validator, or a Custom Role created by the owner.

Note: Once you complete this step, it will redirect you to the Platforms configuration screen.

From the same window, you can add more organisations as per your requirements. Also, from the “Option” button, you can edit, and delete the organisation.

Step 5

As mentioned in step 4, by clicking on the “Options” button, you can edit, or delete the application.

Edit organisation

Select the “Options” button and select the “Edit” option to edit the name, strength and language of your organisation.
