An audience refers to a group of people who are targeted to receive an email, sms, or push notification.
Audiences come in different sizes and engagement levels. They're essential for communication, whether it's a small or a large group. Understanding them helps tailor messages effectively.
Quickly and effortlessly manage your audience on Advantus. Explore the step-by-step instructions in this guide.
From the list of segments, select Options > View Users.
Select “Import/Upload Users” and then upload the CSV file to add the audience for the selected segment.
To update an audience in a segment:
To update the details, repeat step 1 and 2.
Now, upload the updated CSV file in the “Update email” section.
While updating the segment audience, adhere to these points:

Parameter | Description |

Email ID | The email addresses of the recipients or your targeted audience. |
External user ID | This unique tag, assigned by you, is provided to your users within the CSV file. |
Up to 20 variable columns | This is a dynamic field that allows you to add up to 20 variable columns in your CSV file such as age, name, location, etc. |
UUID | A unique ID provided by Advantus and is used when updating the audience details. |
Dynamic columns are extra fields like age, name, and phone number that you've added to the CSV file.
You can directly update these details in the CSV file when you're updating the audience segment.
Optional columns include information that helps in segmenting users based on different locations, languages, and time zones.
This allows you to send notifications across various locations in their preferred language without needing to create separate segments.
